The Samar Mehdi Designer Wear label was established in 1997 by Samar Mehdi, a graduate of Bristol University, UK, with a four year degree in Fashion and Accessory Design.
The label showcases both Eastern and Western Pret and Couture, as well as made to order Bridals. The Samar Mehdi brand is multi-faceted. It launched Pakistan’s first designer maternity line, ‘Positive’ in 2009 and Plus size line, called ‘Plus by Samar Mehdi’ in 2013. Samar Mehdi was the official costume designer for the play, ‘Chicago’ in Pakistan. The label also collaborated with the prestigious Dawood Group to produce the official, revamped University gowns for KSBL. Additionally, the brand has also designed the official delivery jackets for fast food chain, OPTP.
Samar Mehdi was also honoured as a Pond’s Miracle Woman in 2014.
